Director/Writer Statement
Hi! My name is Monica Graves, I also play the lead role of
Addison in That's Fitting.
That's fitting was initially meant to be a five minute short that could be filmed remotely between myself and my actor friend Brook who lives in the neighboring state. As the script began to take shape I realized this story was going to take more than five minutes to tell. We ended up with a thirty minute short. And after sending the final film out for feedback I realized it plays more like a pilot for an episodic series than a short film.
Currently we have a 30 minute produced film that could go one of two ways.
1. A pilot for an episodic series. We all lived through the pandemic and know there is ample material to pull from for a satirical comedy about it.
2. A sizzle reel for what could be a hilarious feature film.
